Scarcely a day goes by in LA where you don’t come upon someone at least on the B-List (or at least someone who’s been in a minor commercial, at least on their local hometown cable channel, somewhere in rural Idaho). Nevertheless, the stars are the trendsetters and living attractions in the City of Angels.
The posh among us are inspiring for a number of reasons, not the least among which is their ability to access and enjoy some of the hippest and most exclusive clothes, cars, accessories and, yes, wine.
Always aspiring to elevate our style, we cast our eyes to the stars to see what they’re doing, and what they’re drinking while doing it.
Businesswoman. Fashion critic. Cancer survivor. Giuliana Rancic is a special type of star, and one who’s been just as inspiring in her personal life as a mother, wife and breast cancer survivor as she has in her career as an entertainment and fashion correspondent.
Rancic recently released her book Going Off Script: How I Survived a Crazy Childhood, Cancer, and Clooney's 32 On-Screen Rejections. The subtitle says it all—Rancic lives the everyday chaos we all do, but she just happens to do it among the hoi polloi. In a new wine concept to be featured at Walmart, Rancic is stacking and packing individualized cups of some delectable varietals, including, of course, rosé. Her wine label, aptly and simply called “XO, G” is accessible and convenient—which can be increasingly difficult to come upon in the hills. Shout to G for keeping it real.
Stacy Ann “Fergie” Duhamel (neé Ferguson) is a funky favorite. As the former Black Eyed Peas frontwoman and pop superstar, Fergie’s bold attitude and spunk won over the hearts of millions. This native California girl has enjoyed incredible musical success as a group and solo artist, set to release her second solo LP, Double Duchess, in 2017.
If you thought she went off the radar for a while, think again. Fergie’s got plenty going on off the stage with a beautiful family and a highly rated wine label—Ferguson Crest—which she runs with her father. Drawing on a legacy and love of agriculture, this label runs deep with family values and even features a “Fergalicious” blend.
John Legend Speaking of things to do with La La Land…
Just when it seemed like the Legend-Tiegen empire couldn’t be any more enviable, they went and collaborated with a winery to fashion a high-end label with flavors rumored to be as soulful as his music with his new wine label, LVE.
If you’ve missed any of his success this year, he led a strong supporting role in the musical blockbuster La La Land alongside Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, and provided some killer vocals along the way. His tracks on 50 Shades Darker and Darkness and Light are gripping R&B journeys that
