What better way to explore the West Coast of North America than by stopping at a few of the best wineries along the way? Today we'll explore Mexico and Southern California.

Guadalupe Valley, Mexico

ADOBE GUADALUPE

Sit in the Wine Tasting Tower, overlooking the vineyards while you sip on blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Merlot grapes. Olive oil, fresh breads, and mezcal are made in house. Reservations are not required for groups of 10 or less, and tastings start around $9.

Stop by Monte Xanic Winery to take in sweeping views of vines and the lake. Stay for a tour of the facilities and a tasting of their award winning wines. Group tours run every day from 10 AM to 5 PM, reservations are required.

Temecula Valley, CA

PONTE WINERY

Located in the heart of Temecula, with 300 acres of vines on rolling hills. Their motto is "if you like it, it's good wine." Open daily, with tastings starting at $18.

Miramonte Winery was founded in 2000, and has quickly become one of the most respected and awarded boutique wineries in Southern California. Book your VIP Winemaker's tour online, available daily. $75 buys you a tour, tasting, and wine appreciation with food pairings.

End your beach day with a glass, bottle, or flight at Rosenthal Wine Bar & Patio, located on Pacific Coast Highway. You will be hard pressed to find another tasting room with an ocean view. Happy hour is Tuesday - Thursday from 3 - 6 PM!

Wrap up your Southern California winery tour with a trip to Malibu Wines. Try a flight or buy a bottle of our estate grown varietals while you enjoy live music and plenty of people watching. Call ahead to reserve a table. We can't wait to have you!

Stop by Varietal Magazine again next week for the guide to the next leg of your West Coast winery tour.
